Miser Monday: Five Glasses of Absinthe

Each Monday we bring you a comic that is free (and legal!!!) on the internet!

This week’s selection is Five Glasses of Absinthe by Nicholas Brienza and Egypt Urnash.

People may be familiar with the name Egypt Urnash because of the recent post by Scott McCloud.  However after reading the few pages of Decrypting Rita (the story McCloud was discussing) that are available,  I decided to try my hand at some of the other stories by Urnash.

Five Glasses of Absinthe tells the story of Absinthe, “a child of the skylands, exiled to Wormwood a decade ago. She is a thief and a scoundrel. This is the story of her big score, the one that will let her go back home.”  This is an anthropomorphic tale full of “kinky sex, nudity, swearing, and other adult stuff,” so you have been warned.

I have included the first two pages of the story below.  After that, you are on your own since I try to keep the STR site PG-ish.

For more of the story, visit the Five Galsses of Absinthe site.

FTY: We have chapter 2 scripted and thumbnailed, and the rest of the story plotted out, but it’s presently on hiatus. One of these days I’ll get back to it.
