Indigo Kelleigh is the founder of the fantastic Stumptown Comics Fest (no relation to us, other than a convenient geographic location and a love of independent and creator-owned comics). In addition to organizing one of the fastest growing shows in the nation, he is also a fine illustrator and storyteller.
His current project is Ellie Connelly and the Eye of the Vortex. He has been working on the project for several years and has four issues under his belt. Now he is soliciting funds on Kickstarter to take an entire year to create the graphic novel.
According to his Kickstarter site,” Ellie Connelly and the Eye of the Vortex is a planned 124-page graphic novel of Victorian adventure and paranormal intrigue. Ellie Connelly, her friend Henry Button, and her Uncle Everett must race to discover the location of a legendary vortex of mystical energy, before the dark and mysterious Mystic Legion can take control of it for their own malevolent purposes!”
Curious about what this book looks like? The first 32 pages are available for free! Interested in supporting this project? Check out the Kickstarter page.
This is an ambitious project, and we wish him the best of luck!
I love the look of it! Very Herge inspired. Reminds me of Tin Tin in a very good way.
