Derek Kirk Kim (Same Difference, Eternal Smile, Mythomania) took his video camera to the ALA conference in Anaheim to explore the difference between an ALA conference and a comic book convention. Along the way he interview a veritable who’s who of indie comic creators including Gene Luen Yang, Raina Telgemeier, Jason Shiga, Cecil Castellucci, Keith Knight, Mark Siegel, Dave Roman, Christina Strain, Jerzy Drozd, and Thien Pham.
It is a fascinating look at the attitudes of the creators as well as the attendees, and well worth taking ten minutes to watch.
