There is pretty convincing evidence that the success of the Little House on the Prairie books should not go to Laura Ingalls Wilder, but to her daughter, Rose. It was Rose who complied her mother’s diaries and turned them in to something that was marketable (i.e. interesting to read). There is quite a bit of speculation that Michel Verne attempted to do something similar. He and his father worked together on several short stories, and Michel, himself wrote a few as well. However he was simply not the caliber of writer as his father. But, with the family name, why not take a stab at publishing???
