Whew! Back from Emerald City. We met lots of people and had a great time wandering the aisles looking at art. Maybe next year we will get a table!
The dialogue on this page refers to Peruggia and his method of stealing the Mona Lisa. Peruggia posed as a cleaner and hid in the Louvre. When the museum was closed he removed the Mona Lisa from her frame and slipped her under his smock. Then he exited through a side door and walked away. The Mona Lisa was not recovered for three years.
