As I read more about Jules Verne, I noticed little bits about his son, Michel. To say that Michel and Jules had a strained relationship is a bit of an understatement. I had often heard writers say that they just had to listen to their characters and the characters would write the story for them. Michel Verne spoke loudly to me.
